Arts education is a proven factor in successful learning at all levels. Students who have studied music, for example, are far more likely to have a firm grasp of math, reading and language.
Music is a modality which involves the entire person. Every sense and facet of mind function is engaged by most musicians as they create or perform music.
Music and art are both part of the same academic field as history, literature, philosophy, communications and more. This is the area of Humanities. The arts are inclusive of all other disciplines and have historically held a high place in traditional education.
As an independent non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation, imaginarium is free to pursue excellence in arts and offer unhindered experiences for participants. Because imaginarium was founded for the sole purpose of providing a strong arts education and experience for all students regardless of age, ability, ethnicity, religion or gender, it is able to cultivate a broader, richer environment for personal growth.
Students range in age from two years old up to 84! There are doctors, toddlers, mothers, fathers, grandparents, cowgirls, wrestlers, football players, head bangers, and more who find a place here at imaginarium. Who ever you are, there is a spot for you.
The total physical response generated through many of the arts experiences generates a network of mental growth and strength. Imaginarium strives to foster each individual's strengths and addresses areas for growth with creativity and vigor, tailoring course direction for that person.
MUSIC is the only proven activity which can actually improve an individual's IQ.
